The free-to-play Batman: Arkham Origins mobile game announced at New York Comic Con this weekend is now available to download in the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. It will be available on Android this holiday season.
The brawler was developed by Mortal Kombat
outfit NetherRealm Studios. In the game, players will fight their way
through Gotham City, taking on a suite of assassins and their thugs.
Players
can earn in-game currency and rewards to upgrade their Batman
character, unlocking "tons" of new Batsuits in the process. The Batman:
Arkham Origins mobile game also can be connected to the console version
to unlock "exclusive content" when that version arrives next week for
Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC.
Warner
Bros. also released a TV advertisement for Batman: Arkham Origins today,
highlighting Bruce Wayne's journey from childhood to becoming the Dark
Knight. The TV spot will start appearing on broadcast TV beginning
October 19
